Pomegranate

The pomegranate is a type of tree. Medicine is made from many components of the tree and fruit. Pomegranate has a number of compounds that may have antioxidant properties. For thousands of years, pomegranates have been used. It appears in mythology and writings from Greek, Hebrew, Buddhist, Islamic, and Christian cultures. It’s been used to cure tapeworm and other parasites since around 1500 BCE, according to documents. Pomegranate is used as a folk medicine in many cultures. Iran is the home of the pomegranate. It is largely grown in Mediterranean countries, as well as portions of the US, Afghanistan, Russia, India, China, and Japan. Pomegranate can be found on some royal and medical coats of arms.
